Canine Good Neighbor

Classes run on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm from June 23rd through July 28th. Testing will take place on Saturday, August 8th from 9:00am – 4:00 pm
The Canine Good Neighbour Program is designed to recognize and reward responsible dog owners and their well-behaved dogs. The program aims to ensure that dogs are accepted as valued members of the community by demonstrating good manners at home, in public, and around other dogs. It is open to both purebred and mixed-breed dogs and focuses on enhancing community awareness of responsible pet ownership.

The class is $250 + GST and the CKC evaluation and certification is $50 + GST.
Volunteers who pass the CKC Good Neighbour program do not have to complete the first part of CTDS' dog assessment and can move right to the next phase of meet and greet!

Join CTDS from 11:00 am-4:00 pm on July 26 for Canada's largest party for dogs and their people. We will have a booth on site and look forward to all the doggy fun!

The Day Of The Dog has a NEW HOME in YYC - 8th Ave SE (between 4th and 6th st) and LOTS of parking available directly beside the event site!

This free and pet friendly event will feature VIP and BYOD (Bring your own dog) areas, Dog pie eating contest, an 80 ft pool party for dogs including DJ & canine cabana, Leading pet exhibitors from across North America, Brunch for dogs featuring a decadent display of home cooked food, Running of the bulls (French bulldog races), Wiener dog and Corgi races.
